"It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting."

- Paulo Coelho

Hello! We are Leeth and Emily Davis, owners of 4Creeks Cabin Co. Our vision for 4Creeks is to develop a handful of eclectic, small vacation rentals on our beautiful property in West Jefferson, NC and to create space where people can come and enjoy being in nature, exploring, and spending quality time together.

Leeth and I got married in 2013 in Gastonia, NC where we were both born and raised. We began the development of our life goals and dreams when we were dating a few years prior. We both knew we wanted to be out of the city and in the mountains. We knew we wanted to teach our children to work with their hands and to work hard to achieve their dreams. We knew we wanted to host and gather together with friends and family, and to be able to share something really special with them all.

In 2020, after a series of "ah-ha" moments, we closed on our 40 acres with visions of building a handful of small, eclectic vacation homes (tiny houses, if-you-will) within a retreat of hiking and biking trails, disc golf course, and community gathering spaces like fire areas, an art shack, and a barn for hosting small events. Eventually, we would build our forever home here as well… then, Covid hit and the price of building materials skyrocketed. We had sold our home in Gastonia to purchase the land and decided to rent in Gastonia, close to family, while we waited it out.

Two years later, we were tired of waiting and renting and watching our land just sit. We contacted some neighbors who were renting out their house and they agreed to sell to us. Now we live here full time with 41 acres, an old house that needs love (and actually as of January 2024, another neighboring old house that needs love on 2 more acres), and still that same big dream although it morphs as we live and learn. God had a different plan than we did at first, and we went with it. Trust fall.

We spent our first summer, fall, and winter getting to know our land, doing some renovations in our old house, figuring out how to raise chickens and feral children in the mountains, and planning our first rental build. Another goal of ours is to perform as much of the work ourselves as possible, and with a minimal footprint as this is our home and farm. Initially, we thought we'd build a yurt but we stumbled upon the geodesic dome tents and decided to go for it! We began clearing land in March of 2023 with our children, Leeth doing most of the dirt work and tree removal himself. I designed our deck and got our permits rolling. In July, we built the deck with the help of our good friends and contractors, 47Beef Construction, and by November we were ready to open. We hosted our first guests, Leeth's parents, followed by our Florida cousins, in November. A piece of a dream come true!

Around that same time, we made a deal with some friends, Ridgetop Yoga Retreat of West Jefferson, and bought their already-converted skoolie! The school bus is a great addition to our vision and we hope to have it up and rentable by Summer 2024.

Our goal at 4Creeks Cabin Co. is to provide our guests with a feeling of being “local” in Ashe County by providing them with unique connections and experiences. By doing this, we are able to partner with and support other local small businesses, which is something we are passionate about. Leeth and I are entrepreneurs, dreamers, and do-ers, and we are happiest when we are using our personal skillsets or connections to help others. We truly believe in building community with other business owners and that by doing this, we will all be better for it.

Thanks for reading and please follow us on social media to stay up to date with our current goings-on and opportunities or experiences that we have in store at 4Creeks Cabin Co. We hope to host you soon!

We look foward to hosting you!
